Shopping in Dagupan and Other Things

Thursday, 13th October 2011

Our family outing to Dagupan to go shopping began with being overcharged on the bus (by P20). Fortunately this time we did manage to get the bus to stop at the correct place.

After making another emergency CR stop we started our shopping expedition.

McDonalds was our lunch venue. They were so slow bringing the order out that Silas had finished all his food before the other children had even got theirs. After lunch we then began our grocery shopping (which was also interrupted by an emergency CR visit). By the time we had finished the trolley was filled well above the water-line.

Our groceries were all packed into boxes that we took out to the bus stop in the trolley. As we were waiting the very same bus that we took into Dagupan came past (heading back home again), but there was no way that we were going to get on – the conductor ripped us off by P20! Fortunately another bus followed a few minutes later and were on our way home again.

Back at the hall the children played together and Cally joined them later in the afternoon. Mum and I went to the internet cafe again, while Sarah stayed back with the children.

Sarah made a large ceasar salad to go with beef and vege adobo. Cesar, Laida and Cally joined us for tea (along with Jinky). Jonathan and Jodel also arrived just in time to get a small serving of the ceasar salad and the egg pie that we had for dessert.

Silas - getting comfy

Eden - getting sleepy

Noah - getting cheeky

Bible readings tonight were Ezekiel 39, the discussion soon got onto events surrounding the return of Jesus Christ. This time I was prepared and remembered that I had some notes in the back of my Bible, and so we spent another hour going through some quotes and discussing them. We finished by talking about the various jobs that the saints will be doing in the kingdom. It was such a great way to end the day.
