Busing to Bataan

Saturday, 24th September 2011

Pancakes for breakfast again today, but there is a small problem. We have lots of pancakes but almost no topping. So using Matt's marvellous skilful-skill, I solved the problem by picking small limes from the lime tree outside and having these with sugar.

Another slightly stressful morning trying to pack all the bags quickly as we are catching the bus to Bataan today with Bro Felcris.

We were waiting outside the front of the hall for over half an hour for an air-cond bus to arrive. Once it did arrive however, it was a fairly quick ride down, a quick toilet stop at Tarlac, and then we disembarked in Dau. We took our lunch in a very small and cramped Jolibee outlet before boarding a small provincial bus taking us to San Fernando. Then it was straight onto another air-cond bus taking us to Balanga city. And finally two trikes taking us to the Hillside Garden Mansions for the evening.

Bro (Brod as they like to use) Richard tried to arrange for someone to meet us and to arrange a Bible study for the night, but alas, it didn't happen. Which was really a relief for us as we were all tired and hungry. We all were fed well at the resturant (Silas loved his 3 1/2inch high cheese burger) and then prepared for bed. There was a little time for me to use the internet so I could book a room at the Shalom Center.
