Sunday at Bayambang

Sunday, 4th September 2011

Pancakes for breakfast. The meeting is held at 9:00am so we needed to get ready quickly. Rudi took us to the meeting in his chariot. Rudi and Lea took food to the hall for the Bre & Sis who had to travel a long way. I gave the exhort on “transformation – metamorphosis” and Rudi did the translation. We got to meet a number of people that we haven't seen for a long time. Bro Alex Juino (and Michelle) and Sis Sydney DeLeon.

The young people stay at the hall for lunch together. We went back to Bro Rudi & Sis Lea's house for another delicious meal, and the lovely company of Bro Rudi's nephew and his family.

After lunch Sis Lea, Matt, Sarah and Noah had much needed sleeps. We woke up at 2.30pm, in time to have some mireanda before heading back to the hall for the Bible readings with the young people.

There was a senior brethren's meeting held in the office at the same time, so we were able to discuss our travel itinerary with Bro Frans and Bro Jonny. After more mireanda, and more chatting, we quickly packed our remaining bags to go spend the night at Bro Rudi's again.

Lots of fun with Felcris and Bro Rudi, sharing stories and experiences and photos, although we were not very prepared for showing photos of the brothers and sisters in Australia – so any photos would be gratefully received, so we can show to Bro Rudi and other people who are intereted, so please email us.

Another delicious meal – Sis Lea is a fantastic cook too! Noah still enjoys his porridge though, so it has been great to be able to purchase instant oats readily at any supermarket.

Busy week ahead of us as we head to Sta Barbara and Isabela this week.

It has been wonderful to get to know Felcris better, and find out about his life – very enthusiastic, dedicated and faithful – and his english is great too!
