Frogs and Bible Studies

Saturday, 10th September 2011

After breakfast we got ready to go to a sister's house for another Bible study/1st principles. On the way we saw Bro Abong Harvesting rice – an amazing amount of energy, not sure of his age, but he doesn't seem to stop, he would have got home after midnight, and then up very early to start harvesting the rice!

We had lunch, and then the bible study, during which the children were entertained at a relative's house, who has other children their age and toys - a big plus! Silas came to the Bible study with Sherwin, on the back of the motorbike (of course they wear helmets and safety gear Nana ;-)).

Matt spoke about the aspects of the kingdom using the Lord's prayer as a basis – Thy kingdom come, thy will be done...Lots of discussion afterwards.

Noah is a favourite with Bro Luming

I thought we were on the way back home, but we stopped at Sis Cathlyn's family's house for yet another bible study – this time on Daniel 2. Bro Abong arrived just before the study started, straight from the fields, still had his sickle in his pocket, had a shower, and joined us like he had just got up in the morning – amazing!

Very tasty!

Yum!

We went back home and had mireanda – sticky rice with a coconut topping. Tea was late again, so Noah was already asleep (after his porridge), and the others had their washes and in their pjs ready for bed as soon as tea was over. I went to bed too, while the others looked at photos and videos of preaching, sunday school and ecclesial life.
