Bro Jamie has decided to leave us and continue his holiday at Hundred Islands, he left just before 10:00am. We pray he has safe journeys as he continues his travels.
After breakfast we did the clothes washing and tidied our rooms. The kids visited the Sim house for a chat with Sis Laida and Cally, who is starting to warm up to us all, and even talks to us now. He is very cute and it is gorgeous to see Noah and Cally playing together.
After lunch Noah had a sleep, Silas & Eden had some quite time with Grandma, Sarah and myself walked slowly in the sun to the internet shop/room in the next barangay (Mangalden). It is really quite interesting how umbrellas are just as useful in the sun as they are in the rain.
The internet cafe gave us the opportunity to check our emails and do a little updating of the blog. We made a quick visit to Dorcas to say hi before we caught a trike back to the hall.
I retired to the comfy chair for an hour to go over my notes for the Bible class on Joel in the evening.

As usual, about 5:00 people started turning up for the Bible class. Tea was cooked, the hall was swept. And a large thunderstorm blew in with the arrival of most people, fortunately it passed before the class began. It was amazing to watch the cloud front rolling in, spectacular!
| This photo doesn't really do justice to the teeming rain. We were very glad the roof doesn't leak. |
One of the light globes in the kitchen has blown, so I found the bamboo ladder in the store room out the back and proceeded to swap the globe with the one under the outside walkway. My two faithful ladder-supporters were Silas and Sis Consuelo.
The Bible class was on Joel chap 2, and as per my previous attempt at TTG, I only got half way through the chapter. Jonathan had a number of questions about the class and Armageddon afterwards. I enjoyed talking this over with him and Jodel, and have had some homework to research up on before the next class and next onslaught of questions - these guys are really thinking!

Dinner followed the Bible class once again, and afterwards I continued my discussions with Jonathan and Jodel, while Sis Consuelo looked at the Illustrated Children's Bible we had brought over with us. They have never seen one, and we asked if they would like some as teaching aids for Sunday School. Sis Consuelo seemed very interested, so we will have to see if we can get some and send them across. We are definately very blessed in all the teaching aids available to us in Australia.
